The Chianti Classico Marathon medals are hand made one by one. A painstaking job that requires a lot of time between mold creation, modeling, drying and baking.
Since the start of the marathon it has been decided to make use of artisans of the Impruneta company Mital (Manifattura Imprunetana Artistic Terracotta and Bricks).
Mital Terrecotte starts the work of the medals at least three months before the event, and besides the realization of the medals it also produces artistic objects, all rigorously handmade in the classic Impruneta terracotta and also other traditional materials.
The company also produces products in terracotta from Impruneta for interior and garden furnishings: basins, vases, jars, gardener and planters, as well as garden figures and statues of various sizes.
Always for the Chianti Classico, Marathon Mital realizes the extra prizes for the absolute top finishers of ultratrail and men’s and women’s trails.
