“Triptych of Chianti” postponed to 2021. The decision was made by the organizers of the three events in the area from Chianti Classico following the italian Prime Ministerial Decree of March 4, 2020 which sees the suspension of “events and sports competitions of all types and disciplines, carried out in every place, both public and private” for reasons of protection of public health for the containment of the spread of Covid-19.
Since the two events, the 39th edition of the Marathon of Tavarnelle scheduled for Sunday 15 March, and the 34th edition of the Corri alla Romola on 29 March, are currently suspended with a date to be set, it has been decided to postpone the Triptych of Chianti to 2021 .
The Chianti Classico Marathon of 7 June 2020 with departure and arrival from Mercatale in Val di Pesa remains confirmed.
All runners who participate in the three competitive events scheduled between March and June 2021 will receive a special Chianti themed prize.
The prize to the athletes who will participate will be delivered on the occasion of the Chianti Classico Marathon 2021.
